We had a wonderful dinner at Sorrento's last week. The food and atmosphere were wonderful but the highlight of the evening was our server Anne. She was very kind, thoughtful, attentive and knowledgeable and pushed the experience over the top. I appreciate good attentive service and it was delivered that evening. Highly recommend this restaurant and be sure to ask for Anne.

My family of foodies vacationed in Seven Devils and drove into Banner Elk for our dining reservations. Banner Elk is an idealistic town giving the perfect Christmas vibes! We walked into this unique establishment, host to a variety of restaurants, one in each of their dining rooms, and our first impression was WOW! The host team was warm and cheerful, the entry aesthetic is gorgeous and inviting, and the ambiance was incredible with artwork by artist Kent Paulette covering the walls. We patroned both Sorrento's and Chef's Table in our brief time in town. Sorrento's has delicious pasta, sauces, garlic knots, pizza. Definitely delivering the wow effect for our group of foodies. But I firmly believed in the cocktail experience Brent delivered the night before (at Chef's Table) so I traveled upstairs to order more cocktails from him to enjoy downstairs for our Pasta feast. I'll tell you, the whole building should be called Chef's kiss for the experiences awaiting you inside their doors!

We ate here last night and the place was empty. Service was great. Very polite, attentive and helpful. We ordered calamari appetizer which was good (hard to mess up fried calamari). My Wife had the chicken Alfredo which she said was a little bland and could use more cheese and garlic and the manager recommended the rock shrimp fettuccine for me to get and it was really tasty. Food and service were good. Pricey like all restaurants these days. Ambiance was a little weird in my opinion. Reminded me of a strip club with velvet on the ceiling and walls. .

This is a review of the lunch menu only. The place is adorable and the service was terrific. The lunch menu wasn't very exciting (mostly pizza or salads or boneless wings). The desserts were very tasty though.

Visiting friends' around North Toe River, just same time of NFL playoffs. Sunday found with blowing wind-snow conditions to watch first game. Nice interior and fine bar, damn a bit chilly me thinks an Angel Envy or 2 to warm the bod. Appetizers please...well prepared crispy fried calamari, Maryland style prepared crab-cakes surrounded in a tasty lemon-butter sauce...Outstanding!!! Bartender (forgot name) was on point and welcoming...return I shall.

Nice restaurant in the Banner Elk area in NC mountains. This place has multiple rooms with each room a different theme. One is a romantic, more formal room, next is a wine room, one is a tasting room and one is a Bistro style room where we eat. Menu in all rooms are the same except for the tasting room. We went with two options, the calamari salad and I went with the Chicken Parmigian over veggies. August, our waiter was extremely attentive, and the manager Felton kept checking to make sure all was going well. The food was good and fresh. Was it the best I have had? No, however, for a place up in the mountains with such a great menu, wine list, and service, this place gets 5 stars from me. I think my wife would have asked for the calamari sautéed. but it came fried, and we went with it. nice and fresh! One thing I missed was the outdoor seating option, which we skipped as these FL folks were too cold.

Located in a cute town Sorrento's has several dining options within one building. We did not have reservations and sat at the bar. The garlic knots/rolls were ok, but not great. The service was on point. Their eggplant was delish! The price is on point for a high end tourist restaurant.

My daughter and I were in town dog/house sitting. We decided to treat ourselves to a good meal one night. After reading reviews from several local restaurants, we chose Sorrento's. When we walked in the door, the bartender immediately caught our eye with his ear-to-ear welcoming smile. The young lady asked us where we preferred to sit. Without hesitation, we chose the bar. There were two other couples already dining at the bar and we soon discovered why. Chase! Chase took amazing care of everyone at the bar. Our glasses were never empty, our food order was attended to with extreme care! I really cannot say enough kind things about how well Chase increases the entire dining experience! When you go, and I highly recommend you do, tell Chase the Kohler Ladies say, "HI!"
